Ballast Water Management on the Columbia River
Evaluation of the feasibility of using a risk-based approach for managing ballast water for the Columbia River . Recommends steps to develop a consistent management approach. California State Lands Commission Ballast Water Program
The lands commission administers the California ballast water program. This site provides information on that program. 
Michigan Department of Environmental Quality General NPDES Permit information
Michigan is the first state in the nation to issue state discharge permits to manage ballast water discharges.
Oregon Ballast Water Management Program
This site is maintained by Center for Lakes and Reservoirs at Portland State University and provides information about the state program as well as links to other invasive species work in Oregon .
Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife Ballast Water Program
The department administers the state program. This site provides information about regulatory and reporting requirements.
